How much does a garden room cost? What’s included?

Creating a garden room project can both be exciting but overwhelming, trust us, we know! A frequently asked question we always get is how much does a garden room cost or what is included in the cost at SMART.

 We are here to help you answer your questions in these blog posts. Garden rooms are much more cost effective than adding a home extension, creating an outdoor space for more value of money.

How much is a garden room?

 Our garden rooms start from £12,525  with our 2.1m x 2.1m Key Studio Range. This range includes over 60 different sizes which increase within price.

Our more expensive range, known as the ULTRA, starts from £14,365 and is one of our most luxurious garden room designs. Its increased price is accompanied by many amazing features, such as the front portico and integral decking.

What is included in the price?

 When you order a SMART Garden Room, there are many options and features that are included within the price and come with your bespoke garden room. 

• Internal and external lighting 
• UNLIMITED windows
• Single, double or 2m sliding UPVC doors
• Slimline wall mounted heater
• Popular 1 or Popular 2 interior
• Flooring (laminate, carpet, vinyl)
• Light switches
• UNLIMITED electric sockets 
• Internal wiring and fuse board
• Guttering
• VAT
• Delivery within 50 miles of our factory based in Thurston, Suffolk.

These features are INCLUDED within the price, however, we also offer a wide range of extra options and upgrades to your garden room at an extra cost. From partition walls, to upgraded interior styles and blinds, we have it all. Check it out and have a browse!

 

What are the extra costs for a garden room?

There may be some extra costs when it comes to designing your garden room. Let’s break it down so you don’t encounter any hidden costs or surprises when you come to order.

 

Groundworks and Base

  The base for your garden room is NOT included in your price and is an extra cost that will be added on, whether you choose to have concrete or ground screws for your garden room. The price starts at £1,780 and varies depending on the size of your garden room, which can be determined at your FREE site consultation. We also offer groundworks services at an additional cost to remove any pre-existing sheds, small trees or plants. 

 

Electrics

For your garden room, our electrical connection services are an extra cost within your quote and price. Likewise to the groundworks, the electric fittings will be cost dependent on the size of your garden building. However, our prices start from £1,540.

 

Planning permission

 If your garden room project needs planning permission, we offer planning services to our customers. Household application is £707 and full application is £882 for planning. Delivery

 Previously mentioned earlier in the blog post, FREE delivery for your garden room is included within 50 miles of our factory based in Thurston, Suffolk.
