FAVOURITE BUILDING OF 2019 COMPETITION

Can you believe that another year has passed and that we have just completed our 2nd ‘Favourite Building Competition’, this time, from our installations carried out in 2019.

We just love to hear how our customers are getting on in their new garden rooms, but rarely hear anything after the installation is complete, so it is fantastic to be able to revisit these garden buildings months after they have been installed, once they in use and the gardens have matured around them.

To enter, all our 2019 customers had to do was send an internal and external image of their garden room and tell us how they best describe it.

Again, we were absolutely bowled over by the number of entries that we received, and it was a very hard call to select our winner and runner up.

We are however pleased to announce that our 1st prize winner is Ian S based in Essex, who had a stunning Belle studio installed in August 2019, to be used as a leisure room.

“Our Smart Garden room has proved to be a fantastic entertaining space and social place for our teenagers, it’s a great addition to our home!”

Ian had been contemplating moving for some time to gain the extra space he and his family needed but after a bit of on-line research he came across the idea of a garden room and quickly realised that it would be a far cheaper option.

Whilst carrying out further research and googling ‘garden rooms’ online, a SMART advert popped up and Ian requested a catalogue – the rest as they say, is history.

Out of SMART’S seven unique ranges, Ian chose to install a stunning 8.5m x 3.2m Belle, finished in a contemporary Emmerson Grey with contrasting anthracite grey UPVC double glazing.

The large garden building has been divided into 2 areas, one for Ian’s sons to pursue their passion for music and the other as a relaxation area. The two rooms are linked by a hidden sliding door within the partition wall, so can be opened out when wanted.

When asked what difference the Belle has made, Ian confirmed “Our garden room means that we can all find personal space when we need it, which has been a blessing during the lockdown. It gets used as a music room for playing instruments, watching TV and sport, gaming, homework, and video calls”

Ian also added “The room has also proved to be a great asset when entertaining by opening up the bifold doors to include a comfortable social space. Our friends and family think it has been a worthwhile addition, they think it looks great and they can see how we benefit from having it”

Ian was impressed by the pre-sales experience, stating “I particularly like the incentive of a discount to visit the show room to see the range. This was helpful to get a feel for the quality, sizes, configurations and the design options available”

I am sure you will all agree that Ian’s garden building looks absolutely amazing and even we have garden room envy!

Ian won a £100 Amazon voucher and a
photo shoot of his building.

Ian is shown here spending time gaming with one of his sons.

And our runner up was . . . Millbrook Primary School who had one of our stunning high line Ultras installed.

The school has named the building ‘The Burrow’ using it as a tranquil retreat for their pastoral support worker, Ms Burrows.

Mrs Burrows supports pupils, parents and carers through creative art, play therapy and communication to develop the children’s confidence to nurture their individual unique talents fulfilling their potential.

I am sure that you will agree that this is a very worthy runner up and they won a £25 voucher.
