“Three years ago knowing that retirement was fast approaching I started researching garden offices that would be appropriate for our future leisure plans. My requirements were an attractive and stylish building that would fit in the corner of my garden, fully insulated and able to be used year-round.
With my sons, including my seven year old still at school, we were looking to set up an entertainment system to watch sport, particularly rugby, and films, likely at a high volume, and also build a large model railway layout.
I immediately thought of Smart Garden Offices and spent some considerable time researching both theirs and other providers’ offerings. When their Suffolk Barn model was released this became a ‘must have’ for me which was confirmed after viewing an example and following a tour of Smart’s new factory.
Quality was my overriding requirement and fortunately Smart are miles ahead in this area. The construction is very solid and absolutely first class with insulation of six inches in the floor, roof and wall. Specifications are high and I have so many power points and lights, as standard, that I am never left wanting. A small oil filled heater has kept the office very snug over winter.
The outside landscaping is at an early stage but I have every belief that once completed the office will fit beautifully into the garden. It looks great already.
As to progress inside the office, the entertainments system is in place, storage constructed as is the large baseboard for the model railway layout. I hope that as time passes and progress is made with the landscaping and model railway then updating pictures will appear in Smart’s newsletter.
In the short time since the office was constructed (which took just two days on site) we have started using this wonderful new room frequently and are absolutely thrilled that it is even better than we dared imagine.
