Ed Sheeran: Made in Suffolk Legacy Auction – Garden Room Lot Winner – A Quality Garden Room from SMART

Name – Victoria Mott & Ross Craddock | Ed Sheeran: Made in Suffolk Legacy Auction

Brief – To install a garden room for the auction lot winners

SMART Building – Affinity 2.6 x 2.6 with a 2m canopy

SMART Donated a Garden Room to The Ed Sheeran: Made in Suffolk Legacy Auction, which took place in October & November 2020, which was organised by Gina Long, founder of the Suffolk charity GeeWizz.

The auction featured more than 220 highly collectable items of memorabilia, artworks and experiences, attracting bids from around the world.

SMART, the leading Suffolk manufacturer of garden rooms, offices & studios wanted to play their part in this fantastic and worthwhile event by donating a garden room to the value of £8,000. SMART managing director, Matt Moss said:

“Helping the most vulnerable children and young adults in our own region gives us a real sense of achievement, it was an honour to have played our part in this great initiative.”

The generous winners of Lot 89, the SMART Garden Office, were Victoria & Ross from Suffolk.

When asked what made them decide to support the auction, Victoria replied

“It is such a good cause and had a great variety of lots that appealed to all budgets”.

She went on to explain “We were planning to add a garden studio and having researched SMART, thought why not! We get to purchase something we needed and the charity benefits from SMARTS generosity. A win win!”

Victoria and Ross were soon visiting the SMART showroom to finalise the details of their win, and despite liking the Key Studio that had been placed in the auction, they quickly fell in love with the Affinity range instead and decided to upgrade their win, opting to have a 2.6m x 2.6m Affinity with a 2m canopy installed instead.

Here we can see the base going down and the install taking place. After just 4 days, this stunning Affinity was ready for use.

Victoria has quickly taken over the garden room by creating her very own garden gym and explains here what difference it has made to them;

“Huge, such a flexible space as it can be an office or gym for me having added the CAT6 cable. Being outdoors to exercise is a huge benefit and we can sit out comfortably under the canopy even when the weather is typically British!”

All of their family and friends also love their garden studio. They have been really impressed with the design and can see how much Victoria and Ross are enjoying it. They loved following the build process from the ground screws through to completion.

When asked how they would rate their experience with SMART, Victoria confirmed;

“Excellent, so helpful, no hard sakes push and honest inclusive pricing for a fabulous product”.

The auction raised an incredible and life-changing £506,000 and will be used to help GeeWizz children’s charity and Zest (St Elizabeth Hospice) to fund two vital projects supporting children, teenagers and young people across East Anglia with special educational needs, high dependency disabilities, life-limiting illness and cancer.

Everyone at SMART was delighted that the garden room lot attracted the tenth highest bid by monetary value out of the 200-plus lots.

Gina Long, founder of Geewizz, praised SMART for its generous support:

“We are so grateful to Matt Moss and all at SMART Garden Offices for donating a garden room, and to Victoria and Ross for participating in the auction. On behalf of GeeWizz and our co-beneficiary Zest (part of St Elizabeth Hospice), I would like to convey our heartfelt thanks to them all for their invaluable support in helping us to deliver two vital, life-changing legacy projects, which will help to change many lives”.
