News: Smart continues to buck the economic trend

In contrast to many other garden office companies, Smart Offices Limited continue to buck the current economic trends.

Profits levels in the family owned company continue to improve as does the strength of the company's balance sheet.

Managing Director, Charlie Dalton, puts this down to their cautious approach "We don't operate a gung-ho business policy, just a simple, solid and steady business focussing on our customers requirements".

"We watch our overheads, keep a steady level of sales and maintain a sensible pricing policy, which means we don't offer lost leaders or ludicrous special offers. It means that we'll be around for a few years yet!" 

Two significant garden offices companies have gone to the wall in 2008 with rumours surrounding several others in difficulty going into 2009.
