Since Peregrine work with 10 of the Countries leading banks they have the unique ability to offer tailor made funding options to suit businesses of all sizes and backgrounds over a variety of terms and schemes.

The two most common forms of asset finance are Hire Purchase and Finance Lease. In both cases, the company chooses and uses the product which is purchased by the lender at the start of the agreement and ownership transferred back to the company at the end of the agreement. Both types of agreement are generally taken over 24 to 60 months.

Whether Hire Purchase or Finance Lease a business is able to claim back the VAT on the product (aslong as they are VAT registered) and there are also considerable tax savings to be had.

Hire Purchase agreements usually require the customer to pay an initial deposit, with the remainder of the balance, plus interest, paid over an agreed period of time. Since all the VAT is paid up front on a Hire Purchase agreement, monthly payments are generally lower than that of a Finance Lease.

Finance Lease - VAT on this type of agreement is not paid up front, but instead paid on top of each monthly payment and the initial deposit ergo useful for businesses that are not VAT registered, so avoiding a large initial payment. Every lease payment is 100% allowable as a tax-deductible expense, therefore reducing the real cost of the purchase.
